  • 2014 Clarkson Cup

This seems to get lost during the same weekend that the Frozen Four Tournament is held but...

Toronto 1 - Boston 0 in an overtime nail biter yesterday.

    Apparently, standing room only!

    Wait...is that two Clarksons?

Could the "Clarkson Cup" be a harbinger of things to come this afternoon?

I like the thought of Clarkson winning the Cup. (except that the NCAA thingy is probably called a trophy )

I've never before heard of a league where you can miss an entire season of play, but then suit up come playoff time.
Then again the CWHL has always made me shake my head. Maybe Boston should have just borrowed an NHLer for the last game.

Yeah, I was thinking the same thing while watching the first period late last night.

The game is being replayed tomorrow night at 7:30 ET on TSN2.

Maybe the other Kessel could play...the one that plays for the Laffs...

Not necessarily too impressive. The game was held at some community center rink in the suburbs of Toronto (Markham). It likely only holds a few hundred, probably a few young girls hockey teams there to fill the stands since the OWHA would have promoted it.

And David Clarkson will get a hattrick for the Leafs tonight.

Going by the video coverage it was more than a few hundred -- seemed like a thousand-plus capacity, though maybe not two thousand.
