4-0. Ah well, the guys are gassed. Feeling bad for DV -- 21 yrs with Colgate and no ECAC title. We'll see what happens next in the NCAAs, and over the next couple years!

ENG makes it 5-2. Meh. No qualms at all with DV's strategy.

              If only...

If only one of those chances in the first gets through, who knows? Once they fell behind though, then that was it, you can only push through on momentum for so long.

There's a reason why Union's name is going on the trophy for the third year in a row, and they deserve congratulations. But, this team went out, and had a couple chances to roll over and die this weekend, and they didn't. So, there is at least one more game to go, and for a team that was picked to finish ninth in the league, to go out, finish 2nd in the regular season, and make the championship game, there is no one out there who can reasonably say that this was not a successful season. There's a game to look forward to still, and a side that got a lot of experience for next year. Good ride, all things considered.

Noble effort 'Gate! Nothing to be ashamed of in losing to the Union juggernaut.

Let's all gather together now and pray for a bus ride to Worcester next Saturday. Loss is tough to swallow, but Union is simply a superior team. Superior to all most likely.

Terrific season, Colgate! Never felt so proud to be No. 2! Think we picked up some new fans along the way :-)

Congrats to our favorite Resilient Raiders on a great, great weekend against two of the nation's best.

First period was all Colgate; just too bad we couldn't light the lamp. From then on the OT game last night showed. Not as much jump by our side and some passing mistakes. Just couldn't seem to maintain the pace we had in the first.

As many have alluded to, no reason to hang heads. We have come a long way as a team and a program.... in just this one year. DV deservedly won the COTY award for a great leadership job, and we have another game on the schedule. A lot to be proud of with this bunch of guys.

Shabby and Rainman: look forward to your analysis of the weekend in LP and thoughts on both games, the atmosphere, etc.

Congrats Colgate! Would like to have seen you win today, but still a great ECAC tourney for you guys and let's hope you can do some damage in the NCAA's. Still quite an accomplished season but there is more work to do. Let's hope for a final that is the repeat of tonights final in LP. I think in the end, Colgate ran out of steam after the 2 OT's on Friday and Union is just really good

Make us proud at the Dance. Just remember, Harvard didn't win the ECAC's in 1989 either, but they were able to live a trophy a couple of weeks later. Here's to the same fate for you guys.

It looks like it'll be a trip to Cincinnati to play Ferris St., who we are certainly familiar with. Wisconsin-Vermont should be the other game, and that is certainly a fair bracket, I think.

Ugh, I don't like this. A team we've already played 3 times, and we get shipped out west when the other ECAC teams get to stay east. I'd rather we play a team we haven't faced yet, as I like the element of surprise. Worse, I won't be able to go, since it'll be Friday-Saturday and a lot of travel and $$$ (plus I don't want to take more time off from work). If it is Cincinnati against the Bulldogs, I hope we draw the late game.
