  • wow, must be spring break

Alaska drew 1700 and 2300 at first two playoff games vs UAA...last Saturday night sell out 4595 vs Seawolves at Governors Cup and season finale.

2157 Friday night at Minnesota State in 3-2 victory against Northern Michigan.

1142 at Ferris State in 8-0 win vs Bemidji State.

And 991 fans in the stands according to box score at Bowling Green to see Falcons get past Michigan Tech 2-1.

Wonder how attendance will be in Grand Rapids, MI at WCHA Final 5??? 10,0000 seat arena or so at the Van Andel.
Next year's tourney at 20,000 seat XCEL Center.....wow

Conference tournament series pretty much always draw less than the regular season games.

As for Ferris, the students are on spring break. We should have a much better crowd tonight. Last night was the smallest crowd I have seen by a long shot all season.

      GO FERRIS!

NCHC not much better; in Duluth I was one of 4500 fans at Amsoil that usually draws 6500 per game. St. Cloud should really be embarrassed by the 2800 fans they drew. But most of their fans are Citidiot alumini who stayed home and watched the game on FSN.

The only NCHC team that had normal attendance was in Grand Forks...still over 10,000 fans at the Ralph.

not only spring break...but our ranked women's BB team was in Cleveland for the MAC tournament, and they even took the pep band with them. we had the Tech band in the house as a replacement.
          tonight will be better.

UNO has played both their games directly against Creighton Big East tournament games and will now have to play against Creighton's participation in the Big East championship game tonight as well. Further, UNO had to play their series Thursday, Friday, Saturday, instead of Friday, Saturday, Sunday due to "circumstances beyond their control" (HAH) and had one less day to sell tickets as as a result of that issue. This has resulted in two of the smallest crowds of the season for their NCHC series with DU. In our case, the school itself is also somewhat to blame as well since the Athletic Department does almost zero promotion of this program and what they do do is beyond awful. Shameful would be a better description.

UNO draws well, otherwise, in SPITE of itself, not because of itself. They couldn't promote their way out of a paper bag. Their marketing is quite incompetent. I could start a thread about this all it's own for our hockey program. It's a sore, sore subject around here.

Yes. St. Cloud alumni are real stupid for moving to the Twin Cities metro where all the jobs are. Enjoy Duluth.
