Re: SCSU @ Miami Fri/Sat Feb 21/22 Funny to see you here.... er... there
Miami looked pretty dangerous tonight...

We mourn for days after a loss, puff out our chests for a week or more after we win. We brave the cold for tailgates, our friends know not to ask about the game after a tough loss, we laugh, we cry, we BLEED hockey, specifically the maroon'n'gold. Many of us have a tattoo waiting in the wings, WHEN (not IF) the Gophers are champions again.
The Mavericks were lurking last year too and they flamed out spectacularly. UNO is not winning this conference.

They were done before this point in last season.
If North Dakota and SCSU both lose tonight, and UNO wins, you have a 3-way tie for 1st with SCSU and North Dakota playing next weekend (which either results in a split or one team likely knocks the other out of the race) while UNO entertains CC in Omaha.
I think who wins the conference is going to be much more clear-cut by the end of next weekend.
Note: I am not saying UNO is going to win it but it isn't implausible by any means that they could. I don't have a lot of confidence in them winning enough remaining games to get there, but, this has been a pretty unpredictable season in the NCHC so far to say the least. It's literally an "any given night" league.
This is the origin of the oral tradition of a burning bush...
I have no idea what this means.

Yeah but you were on here in late January last year wondering why no one was taking UNO seriously as contenders for the conference title. It's the same reason this year. People have seen the defense and goaltending. They aren't good enough to win consistently.

Huge win for us and big shutout for Fedzy.
And UNO, no D or goaltending, no contender.
Way to cough up the lead tonight.
Looks like it'll be a tie race into next week.
Get it done boys
