Now 8-0 Quinny; going 5-5 with 12 shots on the PP. The SLU play by play guy keeps calling Quinny: Union???

I don't care where we recruit..........just get some guys who know how to kill off a penalty. This team has NO CLUE!

Well that sucked! Anybody have any confirmation on who holds the tie breaker between Dartmouth and SLU ... I know head to head is 1-1 and is the second tie breaker wins?

Looks like Dartmouth owns the tie breaker ... And I know this is a long shot, but if SLU/Clarkson both lose and Dartmouth/Harvard both win and Yale beats RPI tomorrow then it is SLU vs. Clarkson next weekend in first round of the playoffs

I still don't want anything to do with SLU come the playoffs. Obviously they have flaws, but if there was ever a team just set up to deliver a crushing upset, it's them. No thank you -- please go haunt U or Q.

                    I left at 4-0 also.

From what I see, we still have a good chance for a series. We beat Princeton, Union beats Brown, Cornell beats Harvard, and Colgate beats Dartmouth. All are quite possible and our fate is our hands and the hands of 3 of the top 4 teams in the league (two of whom are playing at home.) This gives an 8th seed and a home stand against Brown. Then again, maybe we want to be on the road and the underdog.

Actually 2 of the top teams because even if Harvard wins and we win we hold the tie breaker. We need to win, Colgate needs to win and Union needs to win and we have home ice.

I agree Tim. Given SLU's home record this year they would be better going on the road.

I don't think this team knows what the word "fighting" means Tayt. "Rollover" is a better word to associate with them at this point.

Going on the road would definitely be better....our record at Appleton is atrocious. Never in my history of following SLU (which isn't as long as many of you) can I remember a team who played worse at Appleton. I knew QU would be loaded for bear and revenge. Just didn't think we'd be playing Red Rover, Red Rover, Rollover.
Fortunately for me I was on a business trip in NJ and had to work well into the evening. Tim kept texting me the updates and for a brief time I turned it on and watched on my laptop until I saw one of the most egregious turnovers I have ever seen to make it 5-0 or 6-0....(can't remember which.) I was actually embarassed someone from my work would walk by and see it on my laptop and ask..... "What is that?"

Irrelevant....that's the best term I can think of for this team. What a waste for the seniors and for some very talented players. Clearly an example of where the sum of the parts is NOT far greater than the whole.

I really don't think it matters either way, Vic. SLU is either going to pull a great series out of the hat, or get blown out. Where they play is irrelevant. It's not like they get any advantage from Appleton, and it's not like they respond in any consistent way to being on the road. They are mostly terrible and occasionally very good. As much as it hurts to say, I think the odds are they will be swept handily, no matter where they play and no matter which team they play. There's no doubt they could pull off a series win against any of the bottom 8 teams . . . but it won't have anything to do with the setting.

All that said, I do get your point and I do agree with you: if you had to pick based on the results so far, you'd have to say they have a better chance as the away team.

What if we just pass on the playoffs and hammer the nails into this coffin after tonight? This is way too painful.

There has to be a back story that we dont know about or is not being discussed here out of sensitivity to the players. Are important players playing hurt or is there dissension within? There is obviously no confidence in backup goaltending. Why have our best players and the best PK we've ever had simply ceased to produce? This does not make sense to me as a purely random phenomenon or bad luck.
