  • 2015 Frozen Four Finalists

It's never too early to talk about the 2015 FF is it?

    The 3 finalists are:

    • Ridder Arena, Minneapolis
    • Herb Brooks Ice Arena, Lake Placid, N.Y.
    • Utica Memorial Auditorium, Utica, N.Y.

It will be Ridder Arena. The formula looks to be three East, and one West. It will be the west's turn that year.

After that, Herb Brooks again if they bid. They have the process nailed down.

3 sites for 4 years. Who doubles up?

Also folks, think about what is in or around the building in mid March.

If Ridder gets it, hopefully they don't delay the D3 tourney a week again, so that maybe we can catch some NCHC or WCHA tourney action as well. B1G will be in Detwat that year.

Think about Lake Placid. That will be a one week delay.

What that could/should mean is that the first round and quarters will be a week apart instead of crammed together as they are under the current format.

Ridder - not only because it's in the "west", for those out East it's an easy flight into MSP airport, not like trying to take puddle jump planes to get anywhere. You can even get by without a rental car, just take the train downtown

Two "been there already" finalists and a new finalist? I would not write off Utica......unless, of course, the "new ownership" of the Aud spoils the bid.

Your guess is as good as mine in that regard, but yes, I expect they meant [2015,2018), which is also the same as as [2015,2017] considering all of the data consists of integers
