  • Harvard @ RPI 10/29/13

I don't know why these threads are starting so late, but I think it is time to get the conversation started.
I will be heading up to Troy today to watch this team in person.
I hope that playing on Tuesday doesn't throw their timing off.

I was waiting for one of the three posters who is on a one-game winning streak, but this will do.

        Re: Harvard @ RPI 10/29/13

I have good news and bad news:

The bad news is that because of my travels, I will not be able to do the game resets tonight.

The good news is that I'm showing up to the game, and we are undefeated on Black *day whenever I'm there.

          Reverse that.

i am probably one of the most superstitious people alive-but I really think this year it doesn't matter who starts these threads and when. We could even start them a day earlier-this team already knows it can win-barring injuries-this is one tough team to play against with 4 rolling lines that just keep coming at you and 3 sets of defensemen that have size and mobility. Add to that a goalie gaining confidence and perhaps a 23+ win season is in the air. And we have only achieved 23 wins once since 1985. Go Red!!!

Now starting them a day early -- that's going too far!

Should I start one for the NCAA championship game now?

In late 1984-at the RPI Invitational Christmas Tournament-we had just destroyed Miami 9-1(i think) Jenny and i walked over to caoch Addesa. Congratulated him on the win and told him we just got our tickets for Joe Louis Arena in March for the final four(Frozen four if you will). He looked at us and said "It's a long season and we still some games to win". And we all know how many games we lost after that. Go ahead, start the thread-perhaps it could bring us some luck(and you need all of that you can get to go all the way).

Those jerseys. Wow. Those are certainly some interesting hockey sweaters.
