  • RPI @ BU, Fri 18Oct2013

The Engineers head to Agganis Arena to take on the Terriers of Boston University.

RPI will be without sophomore Jason Kasdorf, out for the weekend with a left shoulder injury. Scott Diebold will be the starting 'tender for Rensselaer.

BU's new coach seems to be fitting in well.

The Red and White Belt will also be up for grabs today, so LGR!

Going to Agganis, take as morning walk by Fenway. Maybe. But we're at BU to skate our game, play solid defense and be a nasty, physical team. Let's take care of things playing our game the right way.

Everyone play their game, play within themselves, do what they're expected to do.
        Here we come!

Agree-be nasty and physical but defend well and communicate well whether it be 5 on 4 or short handed. Last week after getting burned on 2 power plays we just seemed to play a more submissive defense-trying not to get called for anything. Just give Diebold the best chance to perform-and we will be OK. Hopefully will be back in time for this game. Go Red!!!

Tonight's game can be streamed at http://www.goterriers.com/allaccess/?media=408461 for a fee... but it makes you register first before telling you how much it costs and that rubs me the wrong way, so maybe I'll stick with WRPI.

In any case, it promises to be a great game. I have no doubt the boys will be looking to put the outcome of the last game far, far behind them... and I'm sure Scott Diebold is ready to remind us what he's capable of. Let's go RED!

We need to come out and play our game.
Against BC we lost focus then we lost confidence.
With Kasdorf out, I fear that our confidence might be shaken so the first ten minutes of this game will be critical.
Diebold is good enough to win this game and if we believe in him, we will have a great shot at victory.
Play our game for sixty minutes and go home happy.

                Diebold is a "safe" bet.

                  FD,

I just noticed that no one ever put a certain tag on the RPI Alum thread.

You might say this game was a "lock". But i was hoping to save that one for the "Yale" game.
