He had many compliments from the play by play announcers and the studio guys between periods. They even did a montage of his good passes. Sens coach also commented on his passing prowess.

    Go Patrick!
With the Sens having gotten rid of Sergei Gonchar, Patrick is now manning the point of the #1 PP, something he did very well at DU. Hopefully, he can stay from injuries which slowed his development.

Here are my guesses as to what ex-DU players will play in the NHL this season.

    Stastny - Avs
    Carle - TB
    Bozak - TOR
    Wiercioch - OTT
    D. Shore - FL
    Zucker - MN
    Donovan - NYI
    Colborne - TOR
    Bennett - PIT

Players who may get some NHL time but likely to be in AHL

    Mayfield - NYI
    N. Shore - LAK

There are a slew of ex-players signed to minor league contracts or are playing in Europe. It is doubtful any of those will play in the NHL this year.

I wish some tv network out there, would introduce or put up graphics like the NFL does. Say what college they went to....or, where they played before. That would be neat.

              15 days

              until DU's next game

              Questions of the day:

When do we get a Captain?
              Who will it be?
Who else will wear a letter?

                Coming Attractions
Bozie and Colborne to play tonight on NHLN.
Donovan scheduled to be on the point for 2nd PP unit as Islanders take on Devils at the Barclay in Brooklyn. Game will be streamed only to New York.
Battle for Florida could see Shore and Carle, but no lineups yet.
Looks like Zucker and Bennett both have the night off.

Sam with an A also seems reasonable to me.

Could the 2 seniors be Co-Captains or can goalies be a Captain?
Could we have alternating "A"s to begin the season?

I never liked the co-captain option. Seemed like it was a way to smooth things over and not tee anybody off. Heck with that. Put some accountability behind the C. Make it 1 guy only. Oh btw.....UNB is already 3-0. They have 2 more upcoming games before they bury CC on the 5th.

I stopped by the Campus Lounge for a beer or two with a buddy last night. It's impossible for me to go there without thinking of Jimbo and smiling.

Bozie involved in a huge line brawl in Tor/Buf game last night. Some familiar college names in the brawl include Kessel, John Scott, Ryan Miller, TJ Brennan, Andrew MacMillan. Scott ignited the brawl when he punched Kessel.
