Interesting. He'd have to sit out a year, but he would have known that ahead of time, I would think?

Unless he played as an 8th grader he's a projected '17 grad but I'll try to find out more in the AM.

Thanks Jeff. Was trying to do some research while at the bar last night, so very possibly might have misread the year. Can't really find much on the kid.

@nerevsfan it was a hoax. He's not committed anywhere and isn't likely to ever commit to any D1 school.

So it looks like mostly higher academic schools with the kitties thrown in. I hate to say it, but we aren't getting those kids.

If we can't compete for recruits with UConn, why even bother recruiting at all.

Right, but it shows you his interest. Fact is that UConn is the top public univ in New England and they have a great business school.

Right now, we have facilities, coach, track record and culture on our side.

That being said, UConn has academics on their side, they'll spin a yarn about buildng a future, and the coach has a track record of taking kids to the pros w York. I am very disappointed about how our recruiting seems on the all-around but there will be reasons one may consider UConn over us. That being said, I would think we ought to be doing better.

Vermont gets their 7th commitment for the future since May. NU and Maine also picked up commits recently for '16 or '17. NU's got a pretty **** good couple of classes coming in soon.
