    Re: Gwoz Resigns from DU?

I'm just dumbfounded. Even more so if he really was fired.

But I don't buy the Alvarez-fires-Eaves-to-get-Gwoz line of thinking. Don't see it happening. But that's just me.

Denver has a woman AD, correct? There's the problem

      Yes, I'm kidding.

      (maybe not though)

I'm disappointed, but not dumbfounded. Surprised yes, shocked no.

        Nor do I.

So in other words, you're not kidding, unless someone gets offended. (OK. I'm kidding, too.)

Just sayin'. They are known to be more emotional, correct? Maybe she asked him if she looked fat or not...

Unlikely to get any of them you mean.

If UConn does that it'd prove they are being serious but right now based on what I know, they aren't. Gowz to UConn seems really unlikely. If I were him I'd go to the ushl, wait a couple and take another profile spot. Somebody will get fired, give it time

Someone said no chance of him ever ending up at CC, but why wouldn't he want to stick it to DU after this?

The list of recruits for DU isn't as flashy as I thought it would be. Still though, I can't imagine that ALL of the recruits will hold to their commitment.

I'm sure we will lose a few. We lost our entire recruiting class in '94 when Gwoz was hired to replace Frank Serratore. Though, most of the players routinely cite the city and the program's tradition as the main reasons they chose DU. I guess we will just have to wait and see...

This isn't just some April fool's joke?

Maybe Gwoz really wants that UAA job...

I can believe it's happened as the team hasn't gotten out of the NCAA 1st round in ages, but man this hits hard. 19 years at the helm. It's going to be very tough replacing him.
