    Today's game matches teams which have been mediocre at best since facing each other earlier in the season. Since playing each other on November 24th--a 6-4 win for UNH--Denver has gone 11-10-5. UNH has gone a nearly identical 10-10-5. Hardly impressive reocrds by either squad over the past four months. I hope Denver doesn't allow a third period hat trick in under six and a half minutes to anyone today.

              I hope the ice for the Denver-UNH game is in good shape after the Lowell-Wisconsin game.

                Tough day for the WCHA thus far. Two losses, and as I type this, North Dakota trails Niagara 1-0 after 2.

                  One really good thing about the NCHC: I can stop pretending I want Wisconsin and Minnesota to do well in the post-season. My soul is unburdened. As they say in Texas: A.M.F.
