Every once in a while, I remember that the win happened, and I get a stupid grin on my face. Now is one of those times.

Posted this on my BeaverPond Website Message Board, but thought I would post it here as well, just in case any BSU fans are lurking.
      ----------
I believe this year, my website domain comes up for renewal. After thinking about it pretty hard, I probably will not be renewing it, which means that this website will more than likely disappear.

Family responsibilities have taken over much of the free time that I have been able to devote to this site in the past. These past two years, updates have been pretty much non-existant during the season. I just don't feel I can find the time or energy to keep this site updated any longer.

BUT, I will still be updating fans on Beaver Hockey through different channels!

      1. This message board is run by an outside website, and I plan to still use it to post messages and to allow fans to carry on conversations. Bookmark this web address and call it "The BeaverPond Message Board" or something like that:

      www.voy.com/66735/

      2. If you are on Facebook, The BeaverPond also has a Facebook page. You can locate it here and "Like" the page:

      www.facebook.com/TheBeaverPond

      3. I will still also be posting over on USCHO's message board. In the D-I Section, you just have to try and find the BSU Beavers thread. The USCHO Site is here:

      http://board.uscho.com/forumdisplay....n-s-Division-I

I am not sure when my domain name runs out, but I believe it is this April.

Sorry Beaver Fans, it has been a great 15 years, but it is time for me to devote my time to my kids! But fear not, I will still be posting!

How is Jon Parker doing? I noticed he had an assist and was a +2 in a recent game. I saw him play while at Maine and felt he had the ability to improve while playing college hockey. Unfortunately, he received a season ending injury before the season began in 2012 and left school part way through the year.

But, we are still playing! And lookie there, we got one win in four games against the league champs. That is half way to UAH's total of two in 38 games (BSU only played 36).

Played in seven games in second semester, which is when he became eligible. Had two goals and an assist in those seven games. Played with a high level of energy and seemed to fit in quite will with the Beaver Hockey system.

He should be a fun one to watch next year!

After friday's game I think the Beavers might want to try something different. Maybe putting a piece of plywood in the net, the ones they use for practices to promote shooting for the corners. Walsh had a rough night. He looked much better the last time we saw him in Big Rapids. However, some of those goals he was hung out to dry by his team. Well I hope we get a much better crowd tonight. With the students on break, the place was only half full. A couple Ferris player brought out the WCHA cup between periods. Wow! 40 lbs of silver and 3 feet tall.

Hey what is up with half of the Beavers having mullet hair cuts?? Is everyone stuck in the 80's in Red Lake!!!

Someday I have to make the trip up to the Red Lake area. It looks like a slice of heaven, great fishing and a great area.

Thanks for the info. Second semester of his Freshman year at Maine I thought he showed much improvement. I wish him well and I hope he continues to help your Beavers.

The Beaver Radio Network is going to be airing a press conference from the Sanford Center today (Monday) at 3:00 on 1300, The Fox. Not sure what it is about, or if it is even hockey related.....
