73 men's hockey players made the NESCAC All-Academic team, maintaining a cumulative GPA of 3.35. What about in other conferences?

    http://www.nescachockey.com/2013/03/...emic-team.html

PS NESCAC has four of the top six and six of the top 18 schools on U.S. News and World Report's Liberal Arts College rankings. Cue backlash that those rankings don't matter!

In all fairness. a Liberal Arts degree is a starting place. I actually support the concept.

Also, there is a big difference between a "liberal arts degree" and a degree from a liberal arts college.

Although we are getting a looooong ways away from hockey, pure mathematics is one of the classical liberal arts. Thus, a mathematics degree is a liberal arts degree. The liberal arts are the arts and sciences - as opposed to vocational training

Interesting to see the spectrum of the number of student athletes at each college.
Babson(3) and St.A's(4) on the low end and Castleton(12) and UNE(12) on the high end.
