  • Link to D-III Men's Hockey Championship Program

There was chatter in the Oswego thread about finding this year's NCAA Tournament championship program.

As was the case last year, the NCAA has decided to go to an online format for the official tournament program only and there will be NO HARD COPIES.

Here is the link in case you wanted to take a look or print it out:

And if you're interested, the women's can be found here:

That's insane - you hold a big event and the only program is one that people have to print online before they get to the event? This is especially silly since I would expect that there will be fans who are not familiar with most of the teams. It is a tradition to go to a game/tournament and buy a program. But it is, of course, the NCAA.

Fancy production cost ("NCAA standards") + distribution (freight) + sales (at venue) costs + administrative costs (every step of the way) = apparently not. But a low cost B&W laser printer & staples ...

Of course, I would assume somebody might question someone's right to sell these. They are copyrighted by the NCAA. It is just totally curious.

Re: Link to D-III Men's Hockey Championship Program

Someone picked me up the program at Adrian. Great program with plenty of color photos and information. I thought not having a program last year was a sign that the NCAA simply didn't care. The excuse I received last year was "well that is what they do for cross country and tennis". However, there is a hard copy program this year.

Yeah, I wouldn't suggest someone setup a booth - but like moonshine, if you don't get caught you might get a honorarium

I was thinking the same thing. But once the NC$$ got wind of my entrepreneurial spirit they would make me pay a licensing fee as well as a % of sales and the only one who would end up making money would be them :-)
