Wow no kidding... though to be fair, this is the first year the top two seeds won't have a bye, which will help keep them from being rusty.

      Those stats are nuts though...

Yeah, the goaltending decisions of the 'Cats are not always obvious. Maybe they hate the Eagles and want BU to win -- not that there's anything wrong with that.

First out of the shoot this week. With color commentary this time.

                        Sat 02/23/13

Boston College at Vermont 12:00 p.m....Working towards that coin flip
Maine at New Hampshire 2:00 p.m....Cats rebound game
Connecticut at Boston University 3:00 p.m...The other coin flip game
Northeastern at Providence 7:00 p.m.....NE march towards NCAA bid

                        Sun 02/24/13

Boston College at Vermont 2:00 p.m......Sweep will ensure Coin Flip
Boston University at Connecticut 2:00 p.m.....Ditto as above
Maine at New Hampshire 2:00 p.m....Cats hungry to secure Home ice
Providence at Northeastern 4:00 p.m........No one wants to face NE in round one.

For what it is worth...scheduling suggestion......Last weekend of season and the top two teams play the bottom teams from last year.....Why ?.....Would you not want to schedule such that the big guns are facing each other in the last weekend to help decide matters on the ice rather than in the board room with a coin flip.....Just saying.

It wouldn't be a coin flip if the teams didn't already split with each other.

Assuming the same results, it would still be a tie, regardless of what order the games were played.

My point was to decide it at the end of the season, not early on. Easy to schedule accordingly. As far as the coin flip itself. Commented in a previous post that you would hope that they can come up with a much deeper tie-breaker criteria, before resorting to a coin flip.
