Hate to disappoint you all, but The Centre of the Hockey Universe is Toronto, aka The Big Smoke, aka Hog Town. (Much to the chagrin of most in Ontario that do not live in the GTA).

Agree that lots of players get their start in "Small Town" Ontario. However stand by my premise that the GTA is considred the Centre of the Universe when it comes to hockey, both in the Boys (GTHL), Girls (PWHL/LLFHL) and Pro (Leaf Nation) side of the house.

THe HOF and TSN are both housed there as well.

BTW...Not from the GTA and not part of Leaf Nation.

Looks like another extremely challenging path to the CHA Championship for MercyHurst. Hope they can survive!

                  Conference playoff updates... Final scores...

                  BU 4, Providence 0

                  Cornell 4, St. Lawrence 2

... so now only Northeastern is left as a potential bracket buster. Their game against Boston College just started.

And the Huskies stay alive with a 4-1 win. NU-BU tomorrow for the Hockey East title.

Well then. I didn't see that coming.

NU is going to be a tough out for Minnesota, let me tell you.

It would be preferable to seeing North Dakota again. I'm really tired of the color green.

At this point my guess is that Mercyhurst is the only team that gets on a plane. If North Dakota is in the tournament, Mercyhurst flies to BC. If not they fly to Minneapolis.
