Very important game for our boys. Playing at home, albeit a bit shorthanded, against a team that on paper we should compete well against. If not now? When? If we cannot come out fired up for this one, well, I am not sure we can do it ever. Go Red!!

Even more important is that with a victory, my lifetime thread-starting record will reach .500.

They may not be shorthandedm, since several could play including Lee who is 90% likely. Hopefully, however, SA errors on the side of caution.

Tonight, because of superstition, the beer of choice will once again be Leinenkugel's Lemon Berry Shandy. Every time we won, I had it. Every time we did not win, I did not.

I guess we will just have to go out and win one for the Baer.

I hope you drink six of them-one for each goal we hopefully will score tonight! Jenny and I hope to watch tonight but our drink of choice will be Tito's Handmade Vodka (straight and ice cold for me, Chocolate Martini for the lady).

There are two streaks going into tonight's game, neither of them positive for RPI.

The Engineers currently have a four-game losing streak in ECAC play.

And the Tigers have a five-game winning streak at the Field House. Last time RPI beat them in Troy was in November 2006.

This would be a very good night for those two streaks to end.

We still have at least 27 games after this one... I'm not THAT rich. Although, I believe it's a seasonal, so I may have to stock up now.

People are probably wondering if and when I'm going to put my record on the line...

The reason we chose Tito's for tonight-both of us are superstitious-and we have not opened a Tito's bottle since last year when we were on the road at Clarkson. We figured at that time what the heck. It is about the cleanest most distilled vodka we have ever had and it is US made. If your streak helps, and ours works-then tonight could be the beginning of some good RPI hockey. I have said this before on the boards-if we get to the NCAA tournament and win, we have a bottle of Louis XIII Cognac just waiting here. The last time we opened a bottle of that for a hockey victory is along time ago when Jen and I got back from Detroit.

I think we have a 6 game losing streak in ECAC play. And I say it ends tonight.

RPI's lines are up, with a couple surprises since Wednesday's article by Ed Weaver:

                        Forwards:
                        Neal-Laliberte-Haggerty
                        Zalewski-Miller-Bubela
                        Tinordi-Schroeder-Lee
                        Fulton-O'Grady-Burgdoerfer

                        Defense:
                        Leonard-Bailen
                        Leboeuf-Bradley
                        Curadi-Dolan

                        Goaltender:
No starter indicated, but all three will be dressing (as is customary for home games)

Good to see NHL and B-FO'G still together.

Keep an eye on that Zalewski / Miller / Bubela line....good things are coming from those 3.
