Yes to Bailen-Leonard...although at one point Curtis carried the puck all the way to the far end boards and I remember thinking "So much for stay-at-home!" Bailen didn't cross the offensive blue line for the first several minutes of the game and I caught him actually back-checking! I'm kidding, he's a great defenseman, but I've gotten so used to seeing him in a more offensive role it was a bit surprising. All of our players seemed to stick to positioning and take our game back to basics especially for the first period, and holy cow it worked. Since the term "puck hog" was being tossed around on here the past few days I paid more attention to that-and it's not just Bailen. I noticed several times yesterday our players held onto the puck too long. I don't care if you pass or shoot, but do something with it-waiting around just leads to turnovers. Mercyhurst's first goal was a good one, Bryce didn't have much of a chance on that. I really thought he had the shooter on their SHG, but he didn't quite get his glove high enough.

Good win for the boys yesterday! Congrats to Luke on his first college point! I hope CJ's okay-glad to see him walking at least in the video, though that certainly doesn't mean anything. Looking forward to tonight!

Oh-and McGowan's goal was sick. Watching live, I thought the puck just banked in off of him. But looking at the replay he clearly read it all the way and got a stick on it-really nice.

Being a judge in my former life, and always being pro-active in nature, I am going to rule in the case of Babo vs FD. Since I cannot find any post specific to FD saying injuries are actually posted on facebook, twitter, etc., he cannot be held guilty of an act where he is being accused of stating injuries were posted on facebook, twitter, etc.

"So the players are not to use Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram, as well as not wear casts/slings." My ruling is in favor of FD......not guilty!!! However, in light of Babo and her motherly instincts, I completely understand her objection and sensitivity to such information being posted on a fan forum message board, and find rvd5star69 guilty of violating the code of sharing classified information! There will be no television interviews or further comments.

I've been lost since 1989. I got a breakaway on a frozen river and have been skating ever since.

You have to give a lot of credit to Zalewski, though, for finding that opening. It's not too often you find a player confident enough to look for a good play like that from behind the net; it's something where Wayne Gretzky had excelled.

Here's to hopefully some of the other players getting some good looks tonight, especially Miller and Fulton.

Yes, excellent work. Mark Miller has been really impressive lately-reminded me of Polacek a bit yesterday. And Travis Fulton played really well at Harvard, and had a few good looks, just couldn't get one past Girard. He looked solid yesterday too, but didn't have as much playing time I don't think.

Of course I don't know anything about it, but my guess would be that if CJ's out long term someone might get a permanent A to make things clear for the officials (and my vote for that would be Higgs). We really don't know anything about his injury though, and I'm sure they'll wait to see conclusively what it is before making any decisions. A few years ago when Kennedy was out with wrist/hand injuries for an extended period of time he stood behind the bench with the coaches during games and captained from there. Of course, we also had named assistant captains that season.

Brutlag stood behind the bench when he was injured during the Colgate game that year. The team had much more of a oligarchal leadership within the players themselves, which is probably what led Appert to say last year that he needs to take control, and is why it took so long to pick a captain this year.

SA's Postgame video, at 5:35 it looks like CJ walking by in the background. I certainly won't make a diagnosis from that but he looked ok..... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oOZgc...layer_embedded
Perhaps one of the 2 goals could have been stopped but I can excuse both after that little stretch where he made 3 or 4 very good saves in about 5 seconds. The overhead shot showed just how nimble he was as he was just peppered quickly. Bryce can be criticized at times for a soft one or letting one bother him-but I swear there are times he shows flashes of brilliance. That being said, he needs to do it for 60 minutes and we have not seen that yet this year. I honestly would love to see kasdorf play tonight (if i was home to watch him) but would not be upset whoever plays. I would sit Lee though-he hit the boards hard last night and even if he says he is fine-he will not be 100%. Not knowing the injury status of the ones who sat last night I would play Tinordi or Schroeder if possible. More importantly i would do something to tweak the defensive pairings-just too many times they were caught out of position and gave up clean odd man rushes and too many good clear looks at Merriam to suit me. Last point-correct me if i am missing something-but does it appear that Luke has lost a few pounds since last year? he still hits like Ernie Shavers out there(ask the official who had his bell rung) but he just looks a bit slimmer to me.

The original post of information in question to which this argument began is located here at post #635.

As for my suggestion, although indirect and in a zinger format, you'll want to look at post #664 on here, specifically the edit. The post does show the last time the post was edited and cannot be changed by the likes of us. You'll also notice in post #676 that I had, once again, suggested that classmates is a possibility, thereby eliminating the exclusive target of the World Wide Waste-of-time.
Referencing #664 (edited - or redacted ): you changed your words. You have lost all adult credibility with me. Your original statement accused players of using the media to share team info. Done. I won't argue against a slippery foe...so you win. You can look yourself in the mirror and feel great! And, you can take FULL credit that thanks to you two bozos (you and the other one who decided to feign insider knowledge of injuries) have GUARANTEED that I will do everything I can to keep the team apprised of your tactics so you won't have access to a peep, unless it's from a coach. Walk proud. Mission accomplished.

I conceded to the outcome before I read this. He edited his post so my assertion would not hold up in a court of law but both he and I know what he wrote.

Am looking forward to being at tonight's game... I have a few things to do early this evening, so I may be a little late. Good to see jericho and babo last night. Hope to see a few more tonight. GO RED! Hey Dr D and Jenny: good to hear things are improving in NJ.

Will AspyDad and troyboy be there? Shout out to Tom.

I guess walking out of the arena with a sling or crutches means nothing to you, but don't let that stop your witch hunt.

We were more fortunate than many. It was pretty bad but we have some advantages-we do not have kids to entertain here. We did not miss TV at all. Missed the internet but so what? Jenny cooked pioneer style in the fireplace. Flooding just barely got up to our door. Cats are all safe and sound. We had no heat, no electric cooking, no cell phone, etc. But we come from an age when we did not really have some of these things like cell phones before. Worst part was no gas to drive anywhere and the roads all being closed. We were just housebound and hoping we had enough cat food, litter, and wood to burn in the fireplace. We looked at it as an inconvenience-as long as no one was hurt and no major damage or losses. We have both had far worse in our lives. We could have left and drove up North-but was not sure we would be allowed back, would never ever leave the pets, and with the burglar alarm losing battery power after 12 hours-had no protection against looting or damage. Did we get a little upset? Sure. But honestly losing the 4 ECAC hockey games bothered us a whole lot more.
