  • Cats v Cats 11/10

After a tough overtime loss Friday night in Amherst, UNH bounced back in a big way with a decisive 4-0 win over some team from northern New England. Dick Umile's decision to juggle the lines a bit paid dividends and UNH's offense hit on all cylinders. Casey DeSmith earned his second shut out of the season and HEDPW honors for the third straight week. Up next, the Catamounts make their way down I89 for a Saturday night appearance at the Whitt.

Any thoughts from fans on either side on this weekend's game?

Less than 48 hours until the puck drops for this one, and not much activity on this thread. Any of the above have second thoughts about changing prediction?

I'm still at 4-0 for the wild sort of cat.

UVM has been playing much better than expected so far, and I feel like in recent years they've given us fits at the Whitt. It'll be a close game I think. I hope for a UNH victory, and a great crowd.

Should be a decent game. Only one game this weekend, so a large crowd is possible. Vermont cats always seem to play very well at the Whitt. I remember a couple of seasons ago, when VT beat UNH in the quarter finals. that was an ugly series for UNH. I believe this UNH squad will come out on top in this meeting 5-2.

                          6-5 vcats in a barnburner.

Let's simmer down. I wouldn't expect Casey DeSmith to let up and give up 6 goals, after his recent performances and shut out against Maine.

I don't care who the goalie is (or team for that matter), I wouldn't expect UVM to score 6 goals. If they win this game, it's gonna be 3-2 or 2-1.
