  • NCHA 2012-13--The final season as we know it!

With the WIAC schools pulling out after this season, the rest of the conference will start their celebrations as the WIAC schools have dominated the NCHA landscape since its inception.

It's gettting harder for me talk about the conference as I'm so far removed from the world of hockey...**** you Arizona. I'm excited to get the talk goin again about the season so I'll bring up some discussion points. I can't find the D3 recruit thread, so I'm basing most of my info on who was lost from last year.

A few of the top teams from last year have some big shoes to fill, mainly in goal. River Falls and Adrian don't lose much from their rosters but do lose their goalies. Who is going to step in to replace Deardorff and Zeches and will they have the skill set those two had??

Superior lost Torgerson, but Peter's got the majority of playing time last year anyway. With UWS's top 10 scoring leaders from last season returning and a solid goalie coming back, is this the year Superior breaks through and returns to the national stage?

St Scholastica surprised a lot of people last season with their surge, thanks in large part to the Waidacher sisters, will they jump up even more?

Can Marian and Finlandia win a game this year?? (besides beating eachother)

Just a quick update to your post. Adrian College goalie Brittany Zeches will be back in goal. She has a year of eligibility left. Her backup will be a freshman Allie Carter.

She was listed as a senior last year on the roster...is she in grad school now? Gameworm...I think you made a mistake on UWS--we didn't have a goalie named olson--you probably meant Torgerson. Ashlee Olson did graduate too, but wasn't the contributor she was in past years

To all you NCHA followers out there, ST.SCHOLASTICA will be just fine in goal with two-time ECAC EAST goaltender of the year Teraysa White between the pipes along with Sheridan Friesen.

The same goalie that played 4 years at NEC? She must have a medical year?

A good AD and compliance director can get those 8 games back.

The NCHA's domination over the MIAC has dwindled a little over the past couple of years...let's hope it returns in full stridethis season! This weeks games

Hamline vs UW-Superior - 2 games - Superior sweeps--Superior has struggled out the gate the past couple seasons..but not this year
St. Olaf vs. UW-Stevens Point - 2 games - Split
