Boston College Women's Hockey - 2012-2013 Season Thread

I was mildly shocked to see BC ranked at #4 nationally going into the season, but there is some really great young talent on this team. Looking forward to tracking their progress throughout the year.

Based on the state of every other BC sport, the hockey teams are pretty much going to be our only solace all year.

Anyone have any insights? I won't get to see a single game this year (as was the case last year).

They finished in the top 4 and lost less to graduation than many other teams, so it makes sense.

It definitely makes sense... I'm just not used to the team being that far up in the national rankings still... after all, years ago a few here were calling for King's head.

This could really be the best BC team in history. Experience where it counts, in net. Most electrifying pair of freshman performers since Stack/Thunstrom returning a year more experienced. Talent up and down the lines.

Going to be a really fun year and we should be a top team for years to come with Field and Carpenter just sophomores and top recruiting classes year after year thanks to Kinger. Crowleyer? Whatever.

Boyles. I don't know much about Miller but Boyles is a world-class goaltender with 4 years of experience, including a red-shirt year behind Schaus. Miller is the future though.

Boyles can be shaken up a little , when ever ther is a crowd cheering against her she is phased, and apparently this megan miller is a good goalie she is a 5 time usa U-18 goaltender

what i meant was she has 5 expericences being on there serise against canada team twice and there u18 national team 3 times not to mention all of the us camps she went to

But having too many world-class goalies is a hell of a good problem to have.
