Have to think competition between the top six will be much tighter than the last couple of years. Have to think Dartmouth will finish better than 5. Quinnipiac also seems a little low to me, but I'm not sure who I'd move down. St. Lawrence might be a little high given what they lost to graduation vs. what I perceive they're bringing in.

I'd agree with most of your assessment. I think it will be Cornell, Harvard, Dartmouth and Clarkson for the top 4. Big Red still the team to beat, but others will be much closer this year.

Is there a rookie poll?. Would be very interested in seeing that one.

Just wondering if there was a rink that ECac veterans would say is worth going to see a game in because of location or game atmosphere?

I'd say Clarkson and Harvard are two of the more lively places. There always seems to be a loud band at Clarkson. The Harvard rink is just a nice and cozy atmosphere, and a great location right of the Thames river not that far from Downtown Boston.

Not that I've seen. I don't recall the ECAC typically having a preseason all-rookie team.

                  Ummm, Charles River?

Ooops...Yeah...Ummm thanks for that correction. I've run on paths along both Thames', the one in London England, and the one in London, Ontario, and also along the Charles in Boston.

Have to vote for Thompson. Lots of support from the townspeople of Hanover. Crowd size averages over 800 a game I think. Especially vibrant when the band from Clarkson makes the trip.

I'm partial to Bright Center at Harvard but that is because it's my home rink. Thompson is a great place to see a game. Not a bad seat in the house. Both buildings can be loud depending on the opponent.

If motivation means anything, Jo Pucci should have an outstanding senior season based on this poll. She deserves to be on this team.

Dartmouth usually sees good crowd support, and anywhere that the RPI band is playing tends to be lively. Stay away from Yale, Princeton and Colgate unless you need to catch up on your sleep.

Got to go with my mate, here. Thompson (Dartmouth). They get the most folks out. All, for that matter- have something special to offer! But I have only been to Yale, Dartmouth, St Lawrence- long ago and Quinnipiac. Qui'p (doll...) has nice snack bar and is a brand new complex combining basketball and ice hockey way up on the hill. Too, is only short hop up the road from New Haven (Yale). If its wintry out, and you like winter- Hanover is fun (and town and college cheek by jowl...) Yet Crimson walks away with all honors as to historicity- too, the star lineups principally Harvard over the years. Too, can walk/stroll around Harv. Yard. Nice. But- have been complaints herein as to parking. Enjoy! Let us know what works, maybe? Where u went and what you liked. Too, certain rivalry's- Clarkson/St Lawrence, Dartmouth/Harvard, Yale/Quinnipiac, etc., will bring out better play.
