  • Your program's Anti-Mount Rushmore

It's the off season, so can you name any persons or players you wish had never been near your program.

The reason for the talent in the west? Because MN didn't rely on Canada.

    RPI: Rube Bjorkman.

I suspect that I will think of others, but Bjorkman is the first to come to mind. He replaced Ned Harkness as coach when the latter went to Cornell but only stayed for one year, 1963-64, before going to UNH. Although he took RPI to the NCAA tourney where they finished 3rd, he did absolutely no recruiting which caused RPI to sink to the bottom of the ECAC by 1965-66 and almost downgrade the program to ECAC-II (i.e., D-III).

Too obvious/easy of a choice, but David Fischer.

Some would probably add Jamie Russell too, and I can't really blame them.

Eh, Jamie was bad, but not as bad as some.

As for players, you'd have to wonder about Jordan "the Turtle" Foote.

EDIT: and shouldn't this thread be entitled "Your Program's Marianas Trench"?

I wasn't going to name players, but that underachieving penalty machine/Claude Lemieux stunt double for sure.

You mean the guy that put together the two winningest teams in the history of the school? Yeah, he was horrible.

Never really developed a taste for tequila. Kind of hard to understand how you make a drink out of something that sharp, inhospitable. Now, bourbon is easy to understand.

Not a player, but otherwise, yes.
