Re: RPI Off-Season Thread 2012 Part II: (Insert Title Here)
"Absolutely fantastic day. I don’t know if that’s happened before," Oates said on a conference call Tuesday afternoon. "I’ve got to go out and play lotto, I think. Just two huge honors. Obviously, I’m very excited about the coaching job and to be called to the Hall of Fame. It’s just a special, special day for us." http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/...Kp4V_blog.html
Assuming we're still going to do Black Friday. Perhaps the 'tute wants to siphon more money off the kids for the game (as the RPI students traditionally get in for free on Black Friday pending dress code).
Never mind the money poured into the silent auctions and the jersey raffles...
Houston Field House, Cheel Arena, Agganis Arena, Magness Arena, Ritter Arena, Messa Rink, Matthews Arena, Von Braun Center, Lynah Rink, Starr Rink, Appleton Arena, Dwyer Arena, Buffalo State Ice Arena, Kelley Rink (also Verizon Center (DC), HerbBrooksArena, Fenway Park (Frozen Fenway I), Times Union Center, DCU Center, Blue Cross Arena)
Congrats to Oates. I was beginning to think he would never make it.
That's congrats for the HoF. As far as the Caps go, meh!
His stats made him a legitimate candidate for several years. he had the misfortune of coming up for a vote during years when there were just a number of really top candidates and they just do not allow for too many additions each year.
Although I was a big fan of watching Pavel Bure-does anyone think his career stats were truly HOF worthy? He was as exciting as anyone but really only had 5 excellent years out of a career that lasted about 12 years.
